Keep your first message simple.

A general outline gives the team useful context. Include:

  • Your name and contact details, plus your business or organization if relevant.
  • The work, question or decision you would like to discuss.
  • Any timing or change the team should understand.

Keep tax returns, identification numbers, banking details and other confidential records out of the general inquiry form. Ask the team how to share documents appropriately when they are needed.

Know what you are agreeing to.

Before any work begins, make room for these questions:

The work

Which services are relevant? What is included, and what needs a separate discussion?

The responsibilities

What information is needed? Who will provide it, and how will questions be communicated?

The timing and fees

What timing can be agreed? How will the scope and fees be explained before you proceed?

Sending an inquiry requests a conversation. It does not book an appointment or establish a professional engagement.

Find the support relevant to you.

Explore LLT's accounting and assurance, tax, consulting, and strategic planning and coaching services. Bookkeeping and payroll support are offered to existing LLT clients.

Questions before you get in touch.

Can I contact LLT before deciding to change accountants?

Yes. You can ask about the relevant work and explore the fit before deciding on a change. An inquiry does not instruct a transfer of records or commit you to an engagement.

Do I need all my documents ready?

Start with a general outline of your situation and the work or tax year involved. Ask which records are needed and how to provide them before sending confidential information.

Can I ask about personal tax as well as my business?

Yes. LLT's services include personal and business tax preparation and planning. Bring both sets of questions into the conversation so the relevant scope can be considered.

What if I am already an LLT client?

For work already underway, start with your usual LLT contact. If you are unsure who to contact, use the firm's general contact information. Keep confidential details out of the general inquiry form.

Where do I ask about joining the team?
